Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch have announced their engagement in a newspaper article, just four months into their romance. Rupert, the executive chairman of News Corporation, which owns The Times, announced the news on the Births, Marriages and Deaths page of the newspaper.
The classified ad read: 'Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger are delighted to announce their engagement.'
Murdoch, 84, was divorced from Chinese businesswoman Wendi Deng in 2013, and has been single since. The relationship between the media mogul and Hall was announced to the world when they were seen kissing at the Rugby World Cup last year. His marriage to Hall, who is famous for her long-term relationship with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, will be his fourth.
His children have not yet spoken about the relationship but the announcement comes just a day after the pair were seen at the Golden Globe awards, where Murdoch was pictured with Lady Gaga and members of his own family, son Lachlan, daughter-in-law Sarah Murdoch, and Miss Hall.
